Objective / Mission
Objective
To promote and preserve the cultural significance of the cow, the symbol of India’s rural agrarian economy.
To provide pure and fresh desi cow’s milk to the community.
To set up an institute for preparing traditional medicines and products using cow by-products(waste).
To support and nurture non-milking (dry) cows with care and dignity.
To establish a botanical park for recreation, awareness, and harmony with nature.
To create an educational hub focused on cattle rearing, sustainable farming, and rural livelihood development.
Governance and Management
The Sri Venkataramana Gow Shala Trust is managed by a dedicated Board of Trustees comprising 14 Trustees. Through sound governance, transparency, and the goodwill it has earned among the people, the Trust has been able to successfully mobilize the necessary resources to sustain and grow the Gow Shala for over a decade.
The Trust ensures diligent maintenance of its books of accounts, which are audited annually and presented before the Board of Trustees for approval. Subsequently, all financial settlements and returns are filed with the Income Tax Department in full compliance with statutory / legal requirements.

The Staff
The day-to-day operations of the Gow Shala are entrusted to a dedicated team of seven staff members, of whom six reside in the staff quarters within the premises. Apart from Manager, there are six caretakers with an agricultural background and hands-on experience in handling and nurturing dairy animals, maintaining the gardens, cultivating green fodder, and ensuring the overall upkeep and cleanliness of the Gow Shala.
Recognition & Registrations
Recognition by the Government of India
It is a matter of great pleasure to inform that Sri Venkataramana Gow Shala Trust has been granted recognition by the Animal Welfare Board of India, established under an Act of Parliament under the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, on 15th March 2021, with Code No.KA078/2021.
Registration for undertaking CSR Activities
Sri Venkataramana Gow Shala Trust is registered with the Government of India, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, for undertaking CSR activities. The registration number is CSR00035247.
Most of the projects at the Gowshala are implemented with the support of business establishments through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.
